Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026. StudioDesk is operated by JP Pixel Studio, Tata Colony, Brahmapur, Odisha 760007, India. This policy follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Studios (our customers)

• We keep the studio's name, contact details, logo, sign-in email, a scrambled (hashed) password, payment records and activity needed to run the account.
• Payments are handled by Razorpay; we do not see card or bank login details.
• We email you about your account (sign-in links, payments, plan reminders).

Customers and guests of studios

When a studio uses StudioDesk for you, the studio decides why your data is used; we process it for them. This can include your name, phone number, the photos of your event, your photo selection, and — only if you use selfie search and agree first — a face code.

• Selfie search: your selfie stays on your phone. Your browser turns it into a face code (a list of numbers); only that code is sent, compared with the event's photos and then discarded. Face codes of an event's photos are deleted automatically when the studio's sharing period for that event ends; our backups are replaced within 8 days after that.
• Photos are stored in Google Drive (ours or the studio's own) and shown only to people with the right link and code.
• Invoices and quotations: if a studio bills you through StudioDesk, we store what the studio enters — your name, phone, email, address, GSTIN, the items, amounts and payments, and any UPI reference you report on your invoice page. Only that studio and people with your invoice link can see it. It is kept while the studio's account exists (studios can download it), deleted with the account, and our backups are replaced within 8 days after that.

Chat assistant

The chat bubble on our website and in the studio app is answered by an AI assistant. Your messages and the recent conversation are sent to an AI service provided through our server host, Hostinger (its AI Router), to write the answer. We store the questions and answers (with the studio's name if you are signed in) for 180 days, so our team can improve StudioDesk and check the answers. Please don't type passwords, payment details or customers' personal data in the chat. The conversation is also kept in your own browser until you start a new chat.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers to run the service: Google (Drive storage), Razorpay (payments), our email provider and our server host (Hostinger, India/EU data centres, which also provides the AI service for the chat assistant).

Security and retention

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on secured servers. Account data is kept while the account exists and deleted when it is closed, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records).

Cookies

Only essential cookies: a sign-in cookie for studios, and cookies that remember a customer has opened their gallery, album or photo share page. No advertising or tracking cookies.
